Qoder CN IDE

Qoder CN IDE fully integrates the capabilities of an intelligent coding assistant. The client works out of the box and does not require plugin installation.

v1.25.1 (2026-08-19): App window snapshot is now available on Windows

Feature updates

  • Windows supports app window snapshots: Double-press Ctrl to capture the frontmost app window. In Live Voice, when you mention on-screen content, Qoder CN reads the foreground app automatically and passes the screen to the agent as context, so the agent understands what you are looking at faster.

  • Chinese support in Marketplace: Marketplace now provides a Chinese interface, which makes browsing, searching, and using plugins easier in Chinese.

Experience optimizations

  • The Qoder CN IDE client now reports client information, which helps enterprises manage the client details of their members centrally.

v1.24.2 (2026-08-14): the Qoder CN app name changes to Qoder CN IDE

Announcement

As part of the Qoder family brand upgrade, the existing Qoder CN product is renamed Qoder CN IDE to reflect its IDE positioning more clearly. Only the name changes. Features, data, accounts, and services are not affected.

Starting August 14, 2026, the app display name changes from Qoder CN to Qoder CN IDE in version 1.24.2.

[Preview] Starting August 21, 2026, the installation directory and related path names change in version 1.26.0 as follows:

  • macOS: The app path changes from Qoder CN.app/Contents/MacOS/Electron to Qoder CN IDE.app/Contents/MacOS/Qoder CN.

  • Windows: The installation directory changes from QoderCN to Qoder CN IDE, and the main program changes from QoderCN.exe to Qoder CN IDE.exe.

  • Linux: The package name changes from qoder-cn to qoder-cn-ide, and the main program path changes from /usr/share/qoder-cn/qoder-cn to /usr/share/qoder-cn-ide/qoder-cn-ide.

Experience optimizations

  • The one-click prompt optimization button now always shows a hover tip, regardless of the number of characters you type, which lowers the barrier to use.

  • Knowledge cards now prefetch content by default, so content loads more smoothly and you wait less.

v1.24.1 (2026-08-12): Conversation-level code review and Spec experience optimizations

Feature updates

  • The default code review scope changes to the conversation level: When you trigger a review with a built-in command, the review covers the changes of the current session by default.

  • Optimized Spec experience: You can copy content, open the containing path quickly, and go to the downloaded path.

Experience optimizations

  • Optimized knowledge retrieval in multi-repository workspaces, which makes cross-repository lookups more efficient.

  • Improved prompt enhancement. You can now trigger related operations faster with a Slash Command.

  • Hook execution now accepts input parameters, which makes automated flows more flexible and configurable.

  • Improved detection of potentially dangerous commands. Detection covers more high-risk Git subcommands and gives stronger reminders before execution.

v1.23.0 (2026-08-06): Live Voice collaboration and scheduled task upgrades | Qoder CN IDE capabilities aligned with Qoder IDE

Feature updates

  • Quest Live Voice supports binding a workspace: When you start Live Voice, you can select the workspace that it belongs to. The voice task carries the project context of that workspace automatically and is archived in the correct location.

  • Live Voice supports voiceprint recognition: Enable voiceprint recognition in Settings > Voice > Live Voice to recognize your voice more accurately in multi-person or noisy environments.

  • Side tasks are supported: For details or derived questions in a main task, you can start a linked side task and handle it in parallel without interrupting the main task, which improves efficiency.

  • Scheduled task capabilities are fully upgraded: Create tasks quickly through a session or manual configuration, use more scheduled task types, and manage tasks in a new unified module that makes viewing and managing tasks more efficient.

  • Install plugins with one click through a Deeplink: Open a link to start the installation, which makes sharing and distributing plugins easier.

  • HTTP Hooks are supported: At key points such as tool calls and sessions, events are sent automatically to the HTTP endpoint that you configure. Based on the response, the flow is allowed, blocked, or injected with context, which helps you centralize security policies, auditing, and external integration.

Experience optimizations

  • Fixed an issue where WSL occasionally disconnected.

  • Optimized the default limit on the maximum number of rounds for goal-driven execution.

  • Optimized the response speed of the creation flow, which shortens the wait when you create a task and open the related interface.

v1.6.0 (2026-07-07): Long-running task drive, Fork branches, and all-round Quest window experience upgrades

Feature updates

Model context and thinking mode configuration: Built-in models and BYOK custom models support adjusting the Context (context window) and Thinking Effort parameters, so you can adapt them flexibly to different task scenarios.

Goal-driven and scheduled execution make long-running tasks more reliable: This release focuses on the execution experience and results of long-running tasks. You can use a Spec to organize the execution plan, or use a Goal to define the expected result. Combine either one with a scheduled task to start the work automatically at a suitable time. You do not need to wait online: the task keeps moving forward as planned and delivers the result. Combined with the Qoder CN Off-Peak discount, running long-running tasks during off-peak hours reduces Credits consumption further.

  • Goal-driven task execution: Set a goal in the Quest window, and the agent keeps working toward that goal until the task is complete.

  • One-time scheduled tasks: Set a Goal or a Spec as a one-time scheduled task that starts at a specified time.

  • Set a Spec as a goal for execution: After you generate a Spec, you can set it as a goal and start execution directly.

  • Steer: During execution, you can add direction or correct requirements at any time, which reduces interruptions and repeated restarts.

The Quest window supports remote control from mobile: The new remote control switch lets you turn mobile remote control on or off at the workspace level or the global level with one click. When the switch is on, you can view and handle Quest tasks from your mobile device anytime and anywhere. When you turn it off, the remote connection is closed immediately. Switch changes take effect quickly, without a restart or a synchronization cycle.

Conversation-level Fork for flexible follow-up branches: You can start a Fork from any round of a conversation in a Quest task to create a new Quest task branch and continue asking questions, which makes multi-direction exploration more flexible.

All-round upgrades to the core Quest experience:

  • Upgraded task sidebar: Added grouping, sorting, and show/hide customization components, which improves the efficiency of viewing and switching between multiple tasks.

  • Worktree collaboration: Added handling of uncommitted changes and worktree cleanup, which makes task branch management clearer and more controllable. Optimized the collaboration path and added handoff support.

  • Browser state reuse: When you switch sessions within the same workspace, the browser state is reused, which reduces repeated openings and reloads.

  • HTML file preview: You can preview HTML files directly in Quest scenarios, which makes it easier to check page results.

  • Quest annotations can be added to the context directly: You can annotate specific content in Spec, code, and Diff views and send the feedback directly to the agent, which helps the agent understand your modification requirements accurately.

  • File operations and interaction: Enriched the right-click menu operations of the file tree, so common file operations are grouped together. You can add external files to the file tree by dragging them and in other ways.

  • File tree style: Optimized the overall style of the file tree to match the style of the edit area.

  • Text file handling: Optimized the handling of manually imported text files to avoid content truncation and misunderstanding.

  • Knowledge card export: Optimized the export structure of knowledge cards, which makes export results clearer and easier to use.
