Lindorm:Change instance types

Last Updated:Dec 05, 2025

You can change the instance type for each engine in a Lindorm instance. If an engine's current instance type is insufficient or excessive for your business needs, you can change the instance type to better suit your requirements.

Prerequisites

A Lindorm instance is created, and its instance status is Running. For more information, see Create an instance.

Precautions

  • Changing the instance type may cause minor service jitter. The instance status changes to Changing Specifications. During this period, you can read and write data as normal, but you cannot perform other management operations, such as enabling services or changing nodes. We recommend that you perform this operation during off-peak hours.

  • Before you downgrade an engine's instance type, ensure that the new specifications can meet your business requirements.

  • When you evaluate instance types, consider multiple factors in addition to read and write request volumes. For assistance with the evaluation, submit a ticket.

Procedure

Follow the procedure for the Service Type of your instance. To find the Service Type of your instance, see View product series.

  3. On the Downgrade or Upgrade/Downgrade page, set the node specifications for the engine. For more information about how to select node specifications, see Select node specifications and quantity.

  4. Read and select the Terms of Service, and then click Buy Now.

    Note

The time required for the change depends on the number of engine nodes. The change typically takes 2 to 10 minutes per node. The process takes longer for instances with more nodes.
