If you want to use Lindorm-cli to connect to a Lindorm instance, you must obtain an endpoint that can be used to connect to the instance, the corresponding username, and the corresponding password. This topic describes how to obtain an endpoint that can be used to connect to a Lindorm instance and how to configure an allowlist of the instance.

Obtain an endpoint

  1. Log on to the Lindorm console.
  2. Click the ID of the instance to which you want to connect. Then, the Instances page appears.
  3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Database Connections and the Wide Table Engine tab appears. Then, view Lindorm Wide Table SQL Address. The following figure shows the position of Lindorm Wide Table SQL Address. Obtain an endpoint
Note You can connect to a Lindorm instance over a virtual private cloud (VPC) or the Internet. You can obtain a private endpoint without the need to perform other operations. Before you obtain a public endpoint, apply for a public endpoint.

Lindorm-cli for multiple programming languages and Lindorm-cli use the same endpoint and port to connect to one Lindorm instance.

Configure an allowlist

Before you connect to a Lindorm instance from a database over the Internet or a VPC, add the IP address of the database to an allowlist of the instance for connection security. For more information, see Configure a whitelist.
