KVCacheStore uses the pay-as-you-go billing method by default. You are charged based on the configured capacity and usage duration of a KVCacheStore. Fees are settled hourly.
Billing method
Pay-as-you-go allows you to use resources before you pay for them. You do not need to purchase a fixed subscription period when you create a KVCacheStore. You are charged based on the configured capacity and usage duration.
Billable items
The following table describes the fees for each combination of billable item and billing method. If a billable item supports multiple billing methods, each method is listed separately.
Billing category | Billable item | Billing method | Billing rule |
Storage capacity | Configured capacity of a KVCacheStore | Pay-as-you-go | You are charged based on the configured capacity and usage duration. |
Pricing
For the unit price of configured capacity, see the KVCacheStore pricing page.
Billing cycle
KVCacheStore charges for configured capacity on an hourly basis. A bill is typically generated three to four hours after the current billing cycle ends. The actual bill generation time is determined by the system.
Bill generation may be delayed. For example, at 09:30, the latest available bill may cover only the period from 05:30 to 06:30.
Billing formula
KVCacheStore settles usage fees hourly based on the following formula:
Storage fee = Configured capacity of a KVCacheStore (GiB) × Monthly unit price ÷ 30 days ÷ 24 hours
On the KVCacheStore pricing page, the storage capacity price is expressed in USD/GiB/month. However, pay-as-you-go storage fees are calculated by multiplying the configured capacity by the hourly unit price. To calculate the actual storage fee, first convert the unit price to USD/GiB/hour. For example, if the storage capacity price is USD 0.131/GiB/month, the hourly unit price is approximately USD 0.0001819444444/GiB/hour (0.131 ÷ 30 ÷ 24).
Billing after capacity changes
After you change the configured capacity of a KVCacheStore, the system generates a new order and starts billing based on the new capacity. The previous order becomes invalid.
If you change the capacity during a billing cycle, the bill contains multiple billing records. The start and end times of each record indicate when a specific capacity was effective during that hour.
For example, you create a KVCacheStore with 300 TiB of capacity at 11:00:00 and increase the capacity to 600 TiB at 11:30:00. The following two billing records are generated for the period from 11:00 to 12:00:
11:00:00–11:30:00: You are charged for 300 TiB.
11:30:00–12:00:00: You are charged for 600 TiB.
You can change the configured capacity of a KVCacheStore.
