Before you call Intelligent Speech Interaction services, create a project and obtain its Appkey. This topic describes how to create, configure, edit, and delete projects.
Prerequisites
Activate Intelligent Speech Interaction. For more information, see Quick start.
Create a project
Sign in to the Intelligent Speech Interaction console.
In the left navigation pane, click All Projects.
On the My Projects page, click Create Project.

In the Create Project dialog box, enter a Project Name, and optionally enter a description in Project Scenario. Then click OK.
After the project is created, view and copy its Appkey in the project list. You can also click Project Settings for the project to view and copy the Appkey at the top of the project details page.
An Appkey identifies a project and is different from an AccessKey ID and AccessKey Secret. Creating a new project or changing the Appkey does not require you to change your AccessKey pair.
Configure a project
After you create a project, configure its speech recognition and speech synthesis parameters as needed. For an initial trial, you can use the default configuration and adjust it later.
Speech recognition
Click Project Settings to the right of the project. In the Speech Recognition ASR area, click Modify the configuration.

Select a model based on the language, sampling rate, and use case of the audio.
Except Telphone: Models with a sampling rate of 16 kHz for non-telephone scenarios.
Telphone: Models with a sampling rate of 8 kHz for telephone scenarios.
You can also find models on the Latest Releases and Most Frequently Used tabs. After selecting a model, check the recognition results in the test area on the right.
Click Confirm to use to apply the configuration.
API calls use the speech recognition model bound to the project identified by the Appkey. You cannot dynamically switch models through API parameters. To call different models, create separate projects, configure a model for each project, and use the corresponding Appkey.
To use existing hotwords, select a hotword list for Name, Place, or Business Exclusive Words in the Hot Word area on the project details page. Then click Publish.

Speech synthesis
Click Project Settings to the right of the project. In the speech synthesis service TTS area, click Modify the configuration.
Select a voice. In the Basic Parameters area, set Speed, Intonation, Sound Volume, Sampling Rate, and Format.
Enter text in the test area on the right to preview the synthesized speech, and adjust the parameters as needed.
Click Confirm to use to apply the configuration.
The speech synthesis configuration is bound to the project's Appkey when published. If an API call does not specify speech rate, pitch, or volume, the default values configured in the console apply.
Edit a project
In the project list, click Modify to the right of the project. Change the project name or scenario description, and click OK.
Delete a project
Deleted projects cannot be recovered. Proceed with caution.
In the project list, click Delete Project to the right of the project, and confirm the deletion as prompted.
