Monitor real-time migration progress for a product by comparing key metrics between the source public instance and the destination Enterprise Edition instance, including Devices Online, Messages Sent to IoT Platform, Messages Sent from IoT Platform, and Messages Forwarded Through Rule Engine.
Prerequisites
You have created a migration task for the product. For more information, see Step 1: Create a migration task.Background
Metrics are grouped by the communication protocol used between devices and IoT Platform.
| Metric | Description |
| Devices Online | The number of devices with a persistent connection to IoT Platform. |
| Messages Sent to IoT Platform | The number of messages sent from devices to IoT Platform. |
| Messages Sent from IoT Platform | The number of messages sent from IoT Platform to devices and servers. |
| Messages Forwarded Through Rule Engine | The number of messages forwarded by the rule engine. |
The x-axis represents time. Each chart shows the following data series for the selected period:
- Unmigrated data in the public instance.
- Migrated data in the destination Enterprise Edition instance.
- Total data from both the public instance and the Enterprise Edition instance.
View data metrics

Log on to the IoT Platform console.

In the upper-left corner of the console, select the region where IoT Platform is activated. On the Instance Overview tab, click Public Instance.
ImportantThe instance migration feature supports only data migration from a legacy public instance to a Standard Enterprise instance. For more information about instances, see Instance overview.
- In the left-side navigation pane, choose , and then click the Migration Monitoring tab.
- Select a product and time range. Supported time ranges include 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week, and a custom range of up to 7 days.
On the Instance Migration page, click the Migration Monitoring tab. Select the target instance from the Monitor drop-down list and a time range, such as 1 Hour, from the Time drop-down list to view metrics such as Devices Online.Note There is a delay in data collection.

During migration, business data shifts from the source public instance to the destination Enterprise Edition instance, causing metrics to decrease in the source and increase in the destination. If an alert rule on the public instance monitors for value drops, the migration may trigger an alert. We recommend that you disable or adjust the alert rule to match your business requirements.
