This topic describes how to use the refresh feature of DataService Studio to retrieve historical device data. You can use the refresh feature to perform data refresh from the product dimension.
Scenarios
Utilize the refresh feature of DataService Studio in the following scenarios to access historical device data:
To retrieve device data reported prior to the activation of data backup.
To access device data reported before the distribution or migration of product instances.
Limits
Historical device data can be retrieved for up to the past 30 days.
Once refreshed, the data will overwrite any existing data.
Prerequisites
Device data backup must be enabled. For more information, see Back up the data of device data sources.
Product Dimension Refresh
Refresh historical device data for an individual product.
In the IoT Platform console, click Overview. On the Overview tab, find the instance that you want to manage and click the instance ID or the instance name.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Data Service> Data Access. On the Data Access page, click Instance. The Instance tab displays the details of the instance, including the instance status, backup status, and backup cycle.
Locate the destination instance with backup enabled in the instance list, and in the Operation column, click View.
In the Product List, find the target product, and in the Operation column, click View.
In the Product Information table, locate the Backup Status column and click Data Refresh.
In the Data Refresh dialog box, select the desired Start And End Time For Data Refresh and Refresh Type.
Click OK.
Monitor the refresh status in the Backup Status column, which will display as Not Refreshed, Refreshing, Refresh Completed (indicating success), or Refresh Failed.
