Intelligent Media Management:Billing overview

Last Updated:Oct 24, 2025

This topic describes the billing methods, billing components, pricing, and other key billing information for Intelligent Media Management (IMM).

Billing method

Intelligent Media Management (IMM) supports the pay-as-you-go billing method. You are charged for the actual usage of each billable item. This billing method is suitable for scenarios where resource usage changes frequently.

Billing components

Intelligent Media Management (IMM) fees consist of three parts: Request Fees, Data Processing Fees, and Index Storage Fees.

Request fees

Request fees are charged based on the number of API calls.

Note
  • For a list of billable API operations, see the descriptions of the StandardQueryL0, StandardQueryL1, and StandardQueryL2 billable items in Billable items.

  • API requests that return a 4xx status code due to errors such as invalid parameters or permissions are billed.

  • API requests that return a 5xx status code due to service errors are not billed.

  • Multiple requests for the same file are billed separately.

Data processing fees

In addition to request fees, API calls also generate data processing fees for synchronous and asynchronous operators.

Note
  • Fees for synchronous operators are generated when the API call returns a response. The fees are recorded in the billing cycle that corresponds to the processing completion time.

  • Fees for asynchronous operators are not generated immediately when the API call returns a response. The fees are generated after the asynchronous processing is complete and are recorded in the billing cycle that corresponds to the completion time.

  • For more information about data processing fees, see Billable items.

Index storage fees

Index storage fees are incurred when IMM stores processing results to provide query features.

Note
  • Data storage is free for a limited time. The billing rules will be announced before billing starts.

  • Data stored before the official billing start date will be billed after that date.

Billable items

For more information about the billable items for Intelligent Media Management (IMM), see Billable items.

Billing cycle

Intelligent Media Management (IMM) calculates resource usage and generates bills on an hourly basis. Bills are typically generated within one hour after a billing cycle ends. The actual bill generation time is subject to the system.

Billing formula

Intelligent Media Management (IMM) fees are settled hourly. The fee is calculated using the following formula: Fees = Actual resource usage × Unit price of the resource.
