Intelligent Media Management:What to do next

Last Updated:Apr 08, 2025

After you activate Intelligent Media Management (IMM) and create a project, you can use advanced IMM features based on your business requirements.

The following table describes the common advanced features of IMM.

Feature

Description

Dataset creation

A dataset is a container for a collection of metadata stored in IMM. You can store associated media files in the same dataset to facilitate data query.

Face clustering

The face clustering feature allows you to group similar faces together in a dataset. Face clustering is suitable for scenarios such as face albums in cloud drive applications, stranger detection in home security applications, and customer management in the new retail industry.

Image label detection

Image label detection identifies image content such as scenes, objects, and events and automatically labels images.

QR code recognition

QR code recognition detects the position information and text content of one or more valid QR codes from images such as photos and screenshots.

Media transcoding

IMM provides efficient, AI-driven, and stable media processing services. IMM works together with Object Storage Service (OSS) and Alibaba Cloud CDN (CDN) to provide storage, analysis, delivery, and multi-end high-quality playback of audio and video content.

Document format conversion

You can use the document format conversion feature to convert a document to a specified format and store the converted document in the specified OSS path. This makes documents more accessible by upper-layer applications.

Compression and decompression

You can use the compression and decompression feature to compress and decompress objects online in OSS. This feature improves the efficiency of file management in the cloud.

Content moderation

You can use the image violation detection feature to detect images that contain inappropriate content. This helps improve image content review efficiency and reduce compliance risks.
