Identity as a Service:Log on with a DingTalk QR code

Log on to your IDaaS EIAM account by scanning a QR code with the DingTalk mobile app.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure that:

Select DingTalk QR code logon

  1. Open the logon page for your organization's IDaaS EIAM portal.

  2. Under Other logon methods, select DingTalk QR code logon. The DingTalk QR code display page appears.

  3. Open DingTalk on your mobile device and scan the QR code.

What happens after you scan the QR code

After scanning, one of two scenarios applies depending on whether your DingTalk identity is already linked to your IDaaS account.

Your DingTalk identity is already linked

If binding information for your DingTalk identity exists in IDaaS, a confirmation screen appears. Confirm to complete the logon.

Your DingTalk identity is not linked yet

If your account was not imported from DingTalk, you must link your DingTalk and IDaaS account identities before you can log on with the QR code.

  1. After scanning and confirming on your mobile device, the webpage navigates to the identity attachment page.

  2. Select Attach existing IDaaS account. This starts the IDaaS account identity verification flow.

  3. Authenticate using any logon method other than DingTalk QR code. After successful authentication, your DingTalk account is linked to your IDaaS account, and the logon completes.

Subsequent logons do not require another attachment — just scan the QR code and confirm.

FAQ

The DingTalk QR code logon option is not visible on the logon page.

The feature is not enabled for your organization. Contact your administrator and ask them to verify that the DingTalk QR code logon option is enabled in the logon menu.

I cannot complete authentication during the identity attachment step.

The attachment flow requires you to authenticate using a logon method other than DingTalk QR code. If none of the available methods work, contact your administrator.
