Identity as a Service:Organization management

Last Updated:Oct 28, 2025

Introduction

In business-to-business (B2B) scenarios, you need to manage multiple aspects including organizations, account types, and accounts. In these scenarios, a person may be associated with multiple organizations and may have different account types in different organizations. Therefore, effective management of organization accounts using IDaaS CIAM becomes a critical requirement in B2B scenarios.

Basic operations

  1. You can create organizations through batch import or manual entry.

  2. Add accounts to relevant organizations. First, the relevant organization administrators or agents generate accounts through self-registration or administrator assignment.

    • Registration method 1: Self-registration as shown in the following figure. If registration has restrictions, you can also approve registrations through integration with third-party approval flows.

    • Registration method 2: Administrator creates accounts, as shown in the following figure.

    • Registration method 3: Batch import accounts.

  3. Associate accounts with organizations. As shown in the following figure, select the corresponding organization and then choose to associate.

After association, the process of linking organization members with the organization is completed, allowing you to manage organizations in IDaaS CIAM.

Advanced features

If users have different role types within an organization, CIAM provides the feature to customize account types, dividing roles through account types. How can you use the account type capability?

  1. Create user types and set relevant data dictionaries for these types. The following figure shows the result:

  2. Set the user type for users. The following example shows the process of setting a regular account as a legal representative:
