If the total amount of your account balance, vouchers, and coupons within your Alibaba Cloud account is less than the amount due for Function Compute resources, an overdue payment is generated for your account. You can top up your account in a timely manner to ensure service continuity. We also recommend that you promptly delete any resources that are no longer in use.
Billing cycles
Function Compute resources are billed on an hourly basis. At the start of each billing cycle, the previous cycle's bill is generated, and the corresponding payment is automatically deducted from your account balance or vouchers. For more information, see Billing overview.
Overdue payments
The following rules apply when Function Compute handles overdue payments:
Overdue for less than 7 days
All Function Compute services are frozen. The following items describe the details.
Currently executing functions are not suspended, but they will not be re-executed once their current runs are complete. As a result, new requests will not be processed.
Time triggers can no longer trigger function executions in upcoming cycles.
Requests in the asynchronous invocation queue are not processed. These unprocessed requests are gradually removed from the queue if your account is overdue by more than 96 hours.
Reminders regarding the impending shutdown of Function Compute are sent at the 12th, 24th, 48th, 72nd, 96th, 120th, 144th, and 167th hours since the overdue payment is generated.
Overdue for 7 days or more
Function Compute stops providing services, and requests and tasks are no longer executed. Your function code and configurations are preserved. If you want to use Function Compute again, top up your account until all overdue payments are settled.
To avoid business interruptions, make sure that payments are settled in a timely manner.
View overdue payments

Restore services
After you settle your overdue payments, Function Compute is restored. For more information, see How to pay an overdue bill.
If you settle your overdue payments within 96 hours, requests in the asynchronous invocation queue are processed after services are resumed.
