Realtime Compute for Apache Flink:Manage tags

Last Updated:Mar 25, 2026

Tags help you classify, search for, and manage Flink workspaces at scale. This topic describes how to create and delete tags in the Realtime Compute for Apache Flink console.

Use cases

  • Search resources by tag: Locate workspaces quickly in the tag console or through an API call. For more information, see Use tags to find resources.

  • Cost allocation: Organize tags by dimensions such as organization, department, environment, or project. Then use the cost analysis and split bill features to attribute costs accurately.

  • Automated O&M: Tag workspaces by environment (production or test) and apply batch operations using CloudOps Orchestration Service templates. For more information, see Use tags for automated O&M.

  • Access control: Combine tags with Resource Access Management (RAM) to grant different RAM users permissions to specific workspaces. For more information, see Create a resource with a specific tag and Use tags to control access to ECS resources.

Limitations

  • A maximum of 20 tags can be attached to the resources in each workspace.

  • A tag key or tag value can be up to 128 characters long.

  • Tags cannot be modified after creation. To update a tag, delete it and create a new one.
