Realtime Compute for Apache Flink:Deprecation of legacy Flink SDK for Java

To improve service stability, efficiency, and security, Alibaba Cloud plans to deprecate the legacy Realtime Compute for Apache Flink SDK for Java on June 30, 2025.

Impacts and suggestions

Updates for the legacy Flink SDK for Java ended in September 2020. To improve service stability, performance, and security, Alibaba Cloud will officially deprecate the legacy Flink SDK for Java on June 30, 2025. As of this date, access to Realtime Compute for Apache Flink via the legacy SDK for Java will no longer be available. We recommend that you start using the latest Flink SDK for Java at your earliest opportunity to take advantage of their enhanced features and improved performance. You can go to the SDK center to download the latest Flink SDK for Java. For more information, see Flink SDK for Java (latest).

If you are uncertain about the version of the Flink SDK for Java you are using, visit Alibaba Cloud OpenAPI Portal. The legacy Flink SDK for Java is identified by an API version of 2020-05-01 or a Maven dependency version of 1.0.8 or earlier.
