Starting January 27, 2025, ZOLOZ will standardize OCR output field formats for dates, addresses, and names. Existing field names and formats are not affected.
In December 2024, ZOLOZ initiated a plan to standardize OCR output field formats to improve consistency and user experience. ZOLOZ is standardizing the output format of date, address, and name fields. All other fields continue to reflect raw document content without additional processing.
Compatibility guarantee: Existing OCR output fields and their field names will not change. If a field format is affected by this standardization, ZOLOZ will add a new output field rather than modify the existing one — no breaking changes to your integration.
What is changing
The following fields are being standardized:
Date field: Output format unified to
yyyy/mm/dd. Example:2024/12/10.Address field: Address components combined into a single field. Split-field output is discontinued.
Name field: When output across multiple fields, symbols embedded within the name are removed. When output as a single field, the name is returned as-is.
Other fields: No changes. Values continue to reflect the document content without additional processing.
When this takes effect
This upgrade completes on January 27, 2025 (Beijing time).
What you need to do
No integration changes are required for existing fields. If your downstream processing depends on split address fields or embedded symbols in name fields, update your parsing logic before January 27, 2025.
ZOLOZ will publish full change details in the Release Notes before the upgrade takes effect. After this change, ZOLOZ will no longer provide per-client customization of OCR output content. Handle any further formatting or transformation on your side.
