1. What is Connect?

Connect is an online identity verification solution that combines face liveness detection and face comparison. It supports scenarios such as account login, online payments, and account unlocking, helping enterprises reduce manual audit costs, meet regulatory requirements, and improve business efficiency.

1.1 Features

Liveness detection

ZOLOZ analyzes face images to determine whether the captured face is real or a photo or video. ZOLOZ provides multi-dimensional image algorithms for liveness detection that identify and defend against presentation attacks such as 2D images, screen replays, and 3D masks. It also combines multi-frame image and anti-spoofing algorithms to identify injection attacks.

Face compare

Compares the current user’s face with the initial selfie image saved in the system to verify whether they are the same person.

Deepfake Detection

Connect detects deepfakes through an end-to-cloud AIGC detection solution that combines multimodal algorithms, terminal-level security detection, and dynamic risk control strategies to identify AIGC risks across multiple dimensions during identity verification. 1.2 Accessibility Modes

Connect provides the following two accessibility modes. For more details, refer to Understand integration modes.

• Native App SDK Mode: Provides Native SDK and server-side APIs, supporting Android and iOS system apps.

• Web SDK (H5) mode: Provides Web SDK and server-side APIs, supporting the use of mobile browsers on Android and iOS systems.

1.3 Use flow

The following figure shows the Connect workflow:

1. Register face imagesRegister face images through the enroll interface for subsequent face verification uses for Connect.

2. Capture a live faceUsers need to follow the prompts given to complete certain actions to collect a selfie image. After the selfie image has been successfully collected, it will be automatically uploaded to the ZOLOZ server for further liveness detection and face comparison.

3. Perform liveness detection and face comparisonThe algorithm extracts the face feature data from the face image, compares the current user's face with the left-behind face, verifies the user's identity according to the face similarity, and determines whether the two faces are the same person.

4. Authentication resultOnce face comparison is completed, users may obtain the authentication result through the checkresult interface.

When an account is locked due to risk control policies, the account owner can use Connect to verify their identity and unlock the account.
