    1. What is Connect?

    Connect is an online identity verification solution that combines multiple capabilities such as face liveness detection and comparison. It is suitable for a variety of scenarios such as account login, online payments, account unlocking and more; helping enterprises reduce manual audit costs, meet regulatory requirements, and improve business efficiency while ensuring a smooth user experience.

    1.1 Features

    Liveness detection

    Through liveness detection capabilities, ZOLOZ analyzes face images to determine whether it is a real face, or a photo or video. ZOLOZ provides a variety of image algorithm capabilities for liveness detection and it can help you to identify and defend against presentational attacks such as 2D images, screen remakes, 3D masks, and more. It can also combine multi-frame image and anti-spoofing algorithms to identify injection attacks, before finally completing the process.

    Face compare

    Compares the current user’s face with the initial selfie image saved in the system, and verifies whether they belong to the same person.

    Deepfake Detection

    Connect possesses the capability to detect deepfakes. Through an end-to-cloud integrated full-link AIGC detection solution, combined with multimodal algorithms, terminal-injected security detection capabilities, and comprehensive dynamic risk control strategies, it can identify AIGC risks in the identity verification process from multiple dimensions. We refer to this capability collectively as "Deeper". For more information about Deeper's capabilities, see "What is Deeper".

    1.2 Accessibility Modes

    Connect provides the following two accessibility modes. For more details about the access modes, please refer to Understand integration modes.

    • Native App SDK Mode: Provides Native SDK and server-side APIs, supporting Android and iOS system apps.

    • Web SDK (H5) mode: Provides Web SDK and server-side APIs, supporting the use of mobile browsers on Android and iOS systems.

    1.3 Use flow

    The use flow of Connect is shown below:

    1. Register face imagesRegister face images through the enroll interface for subsequent face verification uses for Connect.

    2. Capture a live faceUsers need to follow the prompts given to complete certain actions to collect a selfie image. After the selfie image has been successfully collected, it will be automatically uploaded to the ZOLOZ server for further liveness detection and face comparison.

    3. Perform liveness detection and face comparisonThe algorithm extracts the face feature data from the face image, compares the current user's face with the left-behind face, verifies the user's identity according to the face similarity, and determines whether the two faces are the same person.

    4. Authentication resultOnce face comparison is completed, users may obtain the authentication result through the checkresult interface.

    ZOLOZ is qualified for “Liveness Detection (Enhanced Level)” by China’s authoritative bank card testing center, which meets the compliance requirements of various customers and enterprises from industries such as finance and the government.

    For scenarios such as account login and online payments, Connect can be used to confirm the user’s identity in seconds, making the entire process convenient, fast and efficient.

    3. Common scenarios

    3.1 Account login

    By using facial recognition to verify the user’s identity, users are able to log into their accounts conveniently and efficiently.

    3.2 Online payment

    In industries such as finance, insurance, life services, healthcare education, transportation and more; for online payment scenarios, Connect allows users to verify their identity and improves payment security through capabilities such as liveness detection and face matching.

    3.3 Account unlocking

    For risk control scenarios where the account becomes locked, the owner of the account can perform identity vertification using Connect to unlock their accounts.
