Dear Alibaba Cloud customers,
During major events of China, data centers of Chinese service providers will be locked down, which will affect the leased line installation schedule.
The following are regularly scheduled major lockdown periods. You will receive a separate notification for any regional or unscheduled lockdown events:
- Chinese New Year: From the 28th day of the 12th lunar month to the 9th day of the 1st lunar month of the following year.
- NPC and CPPCC sessions: Starts on March 3 and typically lasts 11 to 18 days.
- 6.18 Midyear Shopping Festival: May 29 to June 3 and June 15 to June 19.
- 9.9 Bargain Festival: September 4 to September 10.
- National Day: September 29 to October 7.
- Double 11: October 28 to November 12.
- Double 12: November 30 to December 13.
- Chinese New Year Shopping Festival: January 18 to January 20.
During a lockdown, the following restrictions apply:
- Physical access to the data center is prohibited. Only emergency procedures, such as a server reboot or response to a critical network failure, are permitted. Standard operations involving circuit or data adjustments, such as changes to a routing policy, bandwidth adjustments, or a network cutover, are suspended.
- During these periods, we will not issue visitor permits for the data center.
Note Lockdown of data centers constitutes a force majeure. Alibaba Cloud should not be held responsible for its impact on the promised installation schedule.
