ENS:View and handle system events

Last Updated:Mar 14, 2025

This topic describes how to query Edge Node Service (ENS) system events in the ENS console.

Query system events

Note

You can query ENS system events in the ENS console. You can also view system events of ENS and other Alibaba Cloud services and configure system event notifications in the CloudMonitor console. For more information, see View system events and Configure event notifications.

  1. Log on to the ENS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose O&M and Deployment > System Events.

  3. View pending system events.

  4. Respond to system events based on your business requirements. Different handling methods are recommended for different system events. You can manually execute the O&M task related to an event as instructed in the ENS console, or wait for the task to be automatically executed.

Respond to instance redeployment events

If you receive a Local Disk-based Instance Event, which is an Instance Redeployment Due to System Maintenance event, you can redeploy the instance to handle the event.

Important

After an instance to which local disks are attached is redeployed, the instance is migrated to a different host and new local disks are attached to the instance. Data in the old local disks are lost. If you do not respond to this system event, the system automatically redeploys the instance to which local disks are attached 5 days later by default.

  1. Log on to the ENS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose O&M and Deployment > System Events.

  3. Find the instance that you want to manage and click Redeploy in the Actions column.

  4. In the Redeploy Instance dialog box, select Deploy Now, Deploy at Scheduled Time, or Follow System Time based on your business requirements.

  5. Re-initialize and configure applications and data after the instance is automatically deployed.
