This topic describes how to query Edge Node Service (ENS) system events in the ENS console.
Query system events
You can query ENS system events in the ENS console. You can also view system events of ENS and other Alibaba Cloud services and configure system event notifications in the CloudMonitor console. For more information, see View system events and Configure event notifications.
Log on to the ENS console.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose O&M and Deployment > System Events.
View pending system events.
Respond to system events as needed. Different handling methods are recommended for different system events. You can manually execute the O&M task related to an event as instructed in the ENS console, or wait for the task to be automatically executed.
Respond to instance redeployment events
If you receive a system event with the message Instance Redeployment Due to System Error for an instance with local disks, you can resolve the event by redeploying the instance.
After an instance to which local disks are attached is redeployed, the instance is migrated to a different host and new local disks are attached to the instance. Data in the old local disks are lost. If you do not respond to this system event, the system automatically redeploys the instance to which local disks are attached 5 days later by default.
Log on to the ENS console.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose O&M and Deployment > System Events.
Find the instance that you want to manage and click Redeploy in the Actions column.
In the Redeploy Instance dialog box, select Deploy Now, Deploy at Scheduled Time, or Follow System Time as needed.
Re-initialize and configure applications and data after the instance is automatically deployed.
Respond to instance restart events
If you receive a system event for an instance restart due to system maintenance, you can resolve the event by restarting the instance.
Log on to the ENS console.
In the navigation pane on the left, click O&M and Deployment > System Events.
Find the target instance and click Restart Instance in the Actions column.
In the Restart Instance dialog box, select Restart Now or Restart at Scheduled Time as needed.
Wait for the instance to restart. Then, check your applications and services and make any necessary configurations.
Respond to instance migration events
If you receive a system event for an instance migration due to a system upgrade, you can resolve the event by migrating the instance across edge zones.
After the scheduled system execution time, the network and power supply of the edge zone will be disconnected. Your instances and data in the original edge zone will be deleted.
Log on to the ENS console.
In the left navigation pane, click System Events under O&M and Deployment.
Find the target instance and click Migrate Instance Across Edge Zones in the Actions column.
In the Migrate Instance Across Edge Zones dialog box, set the migration time and destination edge zone, and choose whether to migrate data as needed.
Wait for the instance migration to complete. Then, re-initialize and configure your applications and data.
