ENS:Query and respond to system events

Last Updated:Nov 24, 2025

This topic describes how to query ENS system events in the ENS console.

Query system events

Note

You can also use CloudMonitor to query system events for multiple products, including ENS, and set event notifications for specific system events. For more information, see Query system events .

  1. Log on to the ENS console.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, under O&M and Monitoring, click System Events.

  3. Query pending system events.

  4. Respond to system events as needed. The console provides a recommended response for each type of system event. Follow the instructions in the console to handle the event or wait for the system to automatically handle it.

Respond to an instance redeployment event

If you receive the event of instance redeployment due to system error for an instance with local disks, redeploy the instance to resolve the event.

Important

When you redeploy an instance with local disks, the instance is migrated to another host and a new local disk is attached. Data on the original local disk is lost. If you do not respond to this system event, the system automatically redeploys the instance after five days.

  1. Log on to the ENS console.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, under O&M and Monitoring, click the System Events button.

  3. Find the target instance and click Redeploy in the Actions column.

  4. In the Redeploy Instance dialog box, select Deploy Now, Scheduled Deployment, or Follow System Time.

  5. Wait for the instance to be deployed. Then, reinitialize and configure your applications and data.

Respond to an instance restart event

If you receive a system event of restarting an instance for system maintenance, you must restart the instance to resolve the event.

  1. Log on to the ENS console.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, under O&M and Monitoring, click the System Events button.

  3. Find the target instance and click Restart Instance in the Actions column.

  4. In the Restart Instance dialog box, select Restart Now or Scheduled Restart.

  5. Wait for the instance to restart. Then, check your applications and services and perform any necessary configurations.

Respond to an instance migration event

If you receive a system event of migrating an instance for a system upgrade, you must migrate the instance across edge zones to resolve the event.

Important

After the scheduled system running time expires, the network and power for the edge zone are disconnected. Your instances and data in the original edge zone are then deleted.

  1. Log on to the ENS console.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, under O&M and Monitoring, click the System Events button.

  3. Find the target instance and click Cross-node Migration in the Actions column.

  4. In the dialog box, select the migration time and destination edge zone, and specify whether to migrate data.

  5. Wait for the instance migration to complete. Then, reinitialize and configure your applications and data.
