Pay-as-you-go is a billing method where you are billed for resources after you use them. This method lets you create, stop, or release instances at any time. This topic describes the pay-as-you-go billing for Alibaba Cloud Edge Node Service (ENS) instances.
Use cases
Your workload fluctuates or has sudden bursts, which makes it difficult to predict your resource requirements.
You need to create and release resources at any time.
Notes
You are charged for the computing resources of a pay-as-you-go ENS instance for each billing cycle, even if no applications are running on the instance.
Billing rules and pricing
The fees for an instance type are based on its number of edge virtual cores (vCPUs) and memory size. Prices vary by region. The following table lists the unit prices in USD/unit/day.
The billing cycle for system disks and data disks created with a pay-as-you-go instance is the same as the instance's billing cycle.
The default billing cycle for pay-as-you-go is 1 hour. Usage of less than one hour is billed as a full hour.
