Energy Expert:Carbon emission analysis

Last Updated:Jul 22, 2022

This topic describes how to use the carbon emission analysis module of Energy Expert.

The carbon emission analysis module of Energy Expert allows you to analyze carbon emissions and energy consumption online. This module is designed based on ISO14064-1 Specification with Guidance at the Organization Level for Quantification and Reporting of Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Removals.

Module description:

  1. You can manually import your energy data, or allow Energy Expert to collect your energy data online. Then, the carbon emission analysis module displays the energy consumption data and calculated carbon emission data in a variety of dimensions. This way, you can analyze and monitor your energy consumption data and carbon emission data online.

  2. The Annual Overview section displays the carbon emissions of the current year, including the total expected carbon emissions, emissions reduced by using renewable energy, and the actual total carbon emissions. This section also displays statistics such as the carbon emission intensity, emission level, proportions of different emission types, total energy consumption, and energy consumption intensity. This helps you obtain comprehensive information about the energy consumption and carbon emissions of your business in a visualized way.

  3. The Carbon Emission Details section provides easy-to-use analysis tools that allow you to query data in different dimensions and in various ways. You can obtain statistical analysis results by year, month, week, or day. The analysis dimensions include the annual total carbon emission trend, emission intensity, emission types, emissions by consumed energy types, and emissions by equipment.

  4. The carbon emission intensity is calculated based on the revenue and output of your business. Therefore, you need to configure the revenue and output information on the Revenue/Output Value tab of the General Situation page in advance.

  5. You can set an annual emission plan on the Carbon Emissions Plan tab of the General Situation as a basis for managing your carbon emission objectives or for trend analysis based on the comparison of the emission objective and the actual emissions.
