Background
A region is the geographic area where a data center is located. Regions are typically named after the city where the data center resides. For example, the China (Beijing) region indicates that the data center is in Beijing.
Usage notes
The region of an EMR Serverless Spark workspace cannot be changed after the workspace is created.
Resource availability varies by region and is not guaranteed. Resources may be sold out. To check current availability, visit the purchase page in the console.
