If a subscription quota expires, tasks that you submitted to subscription queues in the workspace will stop running. To continue using the quota, you must renew it. This topic describes how to renew a quota.
Precautions
If your account has an overdue payment, you can still use your existing subscription quotas. However, you cannot purchase new subscription quotas or renew existing quotas.
Manually renew a subscription quota
If you have purchased a subscription quota, you can renew it by following these steps.
Go to the EMR Serverless Spark workspace page.
Log on to the E-MapReduce console.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose .
On the Spark page, select in the Actions column for the target workspace.
On the EMR Serverless Spark Reserved Resources | Renew page, select a Duration and click Buy Now.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the purchase.
Enable auto-renewal
Enabling auto-renewal saves you from the need to renew manually and prevents service interruptions caused by a forgotten renewal. You can enable auto-renewal for a workspace in two ways.
Enable auto-renewal on the workspace creation page
When you purchase a subscription workspace, select Auto-renewal on the E-MapReduce Serverless Spark page.
Enable auto-renewal on the renewal management page
Log on to the E-MapReduce console.
In the top menu bar, choose .
On the Resource Renewal page, find the target workspace by filtering the list by expiration time range, product, and region.
On the Manual Renewal tab, find the target object and click Enable Auto-renewal in the Actions column. Select an Auto-renewal Period, confirm your selection, and click Enable Auto-renewal.
Cancel auto-renewal
If you no longer require auto-renewal for a workspace's subscription quota, you can cancel it. The system automatically deducts payment nine days before the workspace expires. To avoid being charged, you must cancel auto-renewal before this deduction occurs.
Log on to the E-MapReduce console.
In the top menu bar, choose .
On the Resource Renewal page, find the target workspace by filtering the list by expiration time range, product, and region.
On the Auto-renewal tab, cancel the renewal using one of the following methods.
Set to Do Not Renew: Click Nonrenewal in the Actions column, and then click OK.
Enable manual renewal: Click Enable Manual Renewal in the Actions column, and then click OK.
