E-MapReduce (EMR) Serverless Spark provides different billing methods. You can select a billing method based on your business requirements. An appropriate billing method helps you control costs and flexibly use resources.
Billing method | Description |
Pay-as-you-go is a billing method that allows you to use resources before you pay for them. You do not need to purchase a large number of resources in advance. The system calculates the fees based on the actual resource usage in your workspace. Bills are generated on an hourly basis at the top of every hour (UTC+8). The new billing cycle starts after the bills are settled. This billing method is suitable for scenarios in which your resource usage fluctuates.
Subscription is a billing method that requires you to pay for resources before you can use the resources. You make a payment based on the subscription duration when you purchase resources. The resource price in the billing cycle is calculated based on the subscription duration. This billing method is suitable for scenarios in which your resource usage is stable and long-term, and budget planning is clear.
You can purchase resource plans with different capacity to offset the fees for billable items. If the quota of your resource plan is exhausted, you are charged based on the pay-as-you-go billing method. This billing method is suitable for scenarios in which resource usage is stable. |
