Due to technological advancements in the open source community and EMR product feature upgrades, E-MapReduce has established a lifecycle policy. According to this policy, certain versions of Alibaba Cloud EMR on ECS will reach End of Service and Support (EOS) on October 20, 2025. We recommend that you upgrade your EMR cluster instances to newer versions as soon as possible.

Impact description
From the EOS date, Alibaba Cloud EMR will no longer provide any technical support or services for clusters using EOS versions, and will no longer guarantee security and stability. If you do not migrate your data before the EOS date, you assume all security and stability risks that may arise from existing instances.
Notice
If you are currently using clusters with the above EOS versions, we recommend that you upgrade your clusters to newer versions released by EMR on ECS, or migrate to EMR Serverless products (such as EMR Serverless Spark, StarRocks).
