Dear E-MapReduce (EMR) customers:
Thank you for your consistent support and trust in EMR on ECS cluster versions. In response to the technological evolution and market demand, we have developed lifecycle plans for EMR versions. Specific cluster versions will enter the end of marketing (EOM) phase after September 30, 2024.
After September 30, 2024, you can no longer create EMR clusters of specific versions. The expiration time of EMR clusters of these versions must be no later than their end of support (EOS) time. After the EOS time, no technical support is provided.
The following table describes the General Availability (GA), EOM, and EOS dates of specific EMR versions.

If your Alibaba Cloud account has clusters whose versions are about to enter the EOM phase, we recommend that you read the following information to minimize the impact on your business:
Technical support and maintenance: For customers who purchased EMR on ECS clusters of these versions, EMR will continue to provide technical support and necessary software updates in accordance with the established service agreement until the EOS date of each version.
Upgrade path: We encourage and support all existing users to smoothly migrate data to DataLake clusters to ensure your business continuity.
