The old E-MapReduce (EMR) console is being discontinued in phases by region. Starting May 30, 2023, the old EMR console no longer receives feature updates. Once your region's old console is discontinued, you can no longer access it and are automatically redirected to the new EMR console.

Important

Switch to the new EMR console before the old console is discontinued in your region. Click Upgrade the new console in the upper-right corner of the old EMR console to open the new EMR console.

To continue managing your clusters, we recommend that you switch to the new EMR console. To go to the new EMR console, click Upgrade the new console in the upper-right corner of the old EMR console. For information about the new EMR console, see Announcement of the new EMR console.

What happens automatically

When the old EMR console is discontinued in your region, you are redirected to the new EMR console.

The following features from the old console remain accessible in the new EMR console, but are no longer updated and are available only to existing users:

What you need to do

Switch to the new EMR console to continue managing your clusters without interruption.
