The new E-MapReduce console
The new console for Alibaba Cloud E-MapReduce is now available. The new console helps you manage your clusters more efficiently with a redesigned user interface, simplified O&M, and an improved user experience. It also introduces new features, such as EMR Doctor and EMR Workbench, while retaining all the features of the previous version. This topic introduces the key features of the new console.
The new console
In the old console, you can click Upgrade to New Console in the upper-right corner to open the new E-MapReduce console.
The new E-MapReduce console is fully compatible with the old console and offers additional features. The following table shows which features are available in each version.
A check mark (✓) indicates that a feature is supported, and a cross mark (x) indicates it is not.

Features of the new console
Simplified O&M

The cluster management page features an optimized information architecture, placing frequently used operations front and center and displaying key information clearly.

The All Operations button provides one-stop access to common cluster O&M operations.

An intelligent refresh feature provides real-time status updates for your clusters and ensures smoother page transitions.

To reduce eye strain, switch to dark mode by clicking the
icon at the top of the page.
Streamlined operations

On the Overview page, a global search bar allows you to quickly find and open a cluster's management page by using a cluster name or cluster ID.

A new module for cluster fees helps you track the status of your orders.

You can customize the cluster list to view clusters by status or type, for a comprehensive overview of your resources.
More efficient cluster creation

You can select services based on your specific business scenario. New presets for DataLake, OLAP, DataServing, Dataflow, and Custom business scenarios can increase cluster creation speed by more than 200%.

The console provides more detailed guidance and configuration checks to reduce cluster creation failures from invalid settings.

An editable configuration summary lets you easily navigate to and modify cluster configuration items.
On the Confirm Order page, the configuration summary is organized into four sections: Software configuration (including region, cluster type, product version, and software information), Hardware configuration (including billing method, zone, and network settings), Basic configuration (including cluster name and credentials), and Node groups. You can use the Previous button to easily navigate back and modify settings. After confirming the details, click Confirm Order to create the cluster.
