You can release a cluster when you no longer need it. This action deletes the corresponding namespace and all software services within it, but does not release the underlying physical resources.
Prerequisites
Ensure the cluster you want to release is in the Initializing, Running, or Idle state.
Procedure

Log on to EMR on ACK.

On the EMR on ACK page, find the cluster that you want to release and click Release in the Actions column.

In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.
