WUYING Workspace:Migrate cloud computers across office networks

Last Updated:Apr 03, 2024

When you use a cloud computer, the office network (formerly workspace) in which the cloud computer resides may fail to meet your business requirements. For example, the office network is not attached to an Apsara File Storage NAS (NAS) file system, or you want to change the connection type or the logon settings. In this case, you can migrate the cloud computers to another office network. This topic describes how to migrate a cloud computer from its source office network to a destination office network.

Background

Applicable scope

  • You can migrate cloud computers only across convenience office networks.

  • You can migrate cloud computers only from a basic or an advanced office network to another advanced office network.

Impacts

  • After cloud computers are migrated to the destination office network, the assignment of users and cloud computers remains unchanged.

  • The system sends emails that contain the destination office network IDs to convenience users after migration. When end users use the new office network IDs to log on to WUYING terminals, the logon settings, such as multi-factor authentication (MFA), single sign-on (SSO), and connection type are determined by destination office networks.

  • If you migrate a Linux cloud computer, we recommend that you restart it after migration.

    Note

When you migrate a Linux cloud computer, the network of the cloud computer may be become unstable. However, this issue does not occur when you migrate a Windows cloud computer.

Prerequisites

  • The cloud computers that you want to migrate are in the Stopped or Running state.

  • Source and destination office networks must be in the same region.

  • Source and destination office networks must be of the convenience account type.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the WUYING Workspace (Pro Edition) console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Resources & Terminals > Cloud Computers.

  3. In the upper-left corner of the top navigation bar, select a region.

  4. On the Cloud Computers page, choose one of the following methods to migrate cloud computers.

    • Single cloud computer: Find the cloud computer that you want to migrate, click the ⋮ icon in the Actions column, and then click Migrate Office Network.

    • Multiple cloud computers: Find the cloud computers that you want to migrate and choose More > Migrate Office Network.

      Note

When you migrate multiple cloud computers, make sure that they reside in the same office network.

  5. In the Migrate Office Network dialog box, select a destination office network from the Destination Office Network drop-down list and click Confirm.
