Elastic Compute Service:View the provision health scores of resources

Last Updated:Sep 28, 2023

Provision health scores reflect the real-time availability of Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instance types based on the stock level, replenishment capability, and popularity. You can make resource plans based on the provision health scores of instance types. This topic describes how to view the provision health score of an instance type.

Background information

The provision health score of an instance type indicates the availability of the instance type based on the stock level, replenishment capability, and popularity. The following formula is used to calculate the provision health score of an instance type: Provision health score = Stock level score + Replenishment score - Popularity score.

A high stock level and a high replenishment capability indicate good provision health. High popularity indicates poor provision health. The provision health of an instance type is scored on a scale of -3 to 6.

  • A value of 5 or 6 indicates that sufficient resources are available for purchase.

  • A value in the range of 1 to 4 indicates that resources may be insufficient to create a resource reservation.

  • A value in the range of -3 to 0 indicates poor provision health of resources. We recommend that you select another instance type.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ECS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Instances & Images > icon1 > Resource Advisor.

  3. In the upper-left corner of the top navigation bar, select a region. 地域

  4. On the Resource Advisor page, choose Advanced Resource Planning > Provision Health Scores.

  5. In the View Provision Health Scores section, filter instance types by region, zone, number of vCPUs, or memory size.

In the Actions column corresponding to an instance type, click Purchase, Resource Reservations, or New Quota based on the provision health score of the instance type and your business requirements.
