Plan instance type selection based on real-time provision health scores that reflect stock, replenishment, and popularity.
Background
The provision health score of an instance type reflects its availability based on stock level, replenishment capability, and popularity. Formula: Provision health score = Stock level score + Replenishment score - Popularity score.
High stock and replenishment improve the score; high popularity lowers it.
Scores range from -3 to 6:
-
5–6: Sufficient resources available for purchase.
-
1–4: Resources may be insufficient for a resource reservation.
-
-3–0: Poor provision health. Consider selecting another instance type.
