After you activate ID Verification, you can use the features provided by ID Verification. This topic describes the billing methods, pricing, and settlement and billing cycles of each solution and integration mode in ID Verification.
Billing methods
ID Verification provides the following payment methods. Please choose a payment method according to your business needs.
Pay-as-you-go
If you select the pay-as-you-go method, take note of the pricing and the metering method of each solution and integration mode. Fees are generated based on standard unit prices.
Data transfer plan
If you choose the data transfer plan method, please visit the Data transfer plan buy page and complete the payment. The price of a data transfer plan varies based on the solution and size. The plan automatically offsets ID Verification fees that are incurred by certain instances until it is used up or expired. Please note that the excess part will be billed according to the standard unit prices. For more details, visit the Purchase a data transfer plan.

If you quit without completing the whole authentication process, the number of calls will not be counted.
To facilitate the following bills query, after you call the Initialize interface to initiate an ID Verification request, please save the returned TransactionId locally for billing statistics. For how to call the ID Verification request API, see the Development Guide.
Settlement cycle
You are charged on a daily basis for ID Verification.
Alibaba Cloud generates a bill on each calendar day based on the number of resources that you used on the previous calendar day and deducts the service fee from your Alibaba Cloud account.
If you have purchased a data transfer plan, the remaining amount will be deducted from the plan first until it is used up or expired.
Billing cycle
Bills are generated on a daily basis. Alibaba Cloud generates a bill on each calendar day based on the number of resources that you used on the previous calendar day. In most cases, a bill is generated within 10 to 12 hours after the end of each calendar day. If your Alibaba Cloud account does not have sufficient balance to settle the bill, an overdue payment is generated for ID Verification.
You can visit the Billing Management console to view bills.
Bills for ID Verification are generated after you use resources. As a result, the system may include the bill for the last day of a month in the bill of the next month. For example, the bill that is generated for January 2023 may include the bill for the period from December 31, 2022 to January 30, 2023.
Overdue payments
If your Alibaba Cloud account has overdue payments, ID Verification is suspended. You must add funds to your Alibaba Cloud account to continue using ID Verification.
