When version management is enabled for a website, ESA dynamically separates configurations into version-specific and global settings based on each version's feature set.
Create a version

After you enable version management, the platform automatically creates Version 0 for the website.

You cannot create a version directly. Create a version by cloning an existing one. The new version number is automatically assigned by incrementing the highest existing version number by one.

In the ESA console, select Websites, and in the Website column, click the target website.

In the navigation pane on the left, select Version Management, click the Versions tab, and in the Actions column, click Clone.
Modify version configurations

In the ESA console, select Websites, and in the Website column, click the target website.

In the navigation pane on the left, select Version Management and click the Versions tab. Select the version that you want to modify, click Select, and then modify its configuration items.

Compare versions

In the ESA console, select Websites, and in the Website column, click the target website.

In the navigation pane on the left, choose .

On the Compare Version page, select the versions you want to compare, and click Compare.
NoteYou can select multiple versions on the version list page to compare their configurations and identify differences.
Delete a version

Before you delete a version, make sure that it is not deployed to any environment.

A deleted version cannot be recovered.

In the ESA console, select Websites, and in the Website column, click the target website.

In the navigation pane on the left, choose , find the version that you want to delete, and click Delete.
View metrics
After you route traffic to an environment running a specific version, you can view metrics to analyze traffic and check log directories. Data is automatically filtered to that version.
