This topic describes how to enable the IPv6 feature for Alibaba Cloud Dynamic Route for CDN (DCDN) on the console. After you enable this feature, clients can send requests to DCDN over IPv6, and DCDN can include the client's IPv6 information in back-to-origin requests.
Background information
Most DCDN nodes support IPv6. You can enable this feature in the domain configuration.
After you enable this feature, DCDN provides a dual-stack experience. Clients on an IPv6 network connect to DCDN nodes over IPv6 when available; otherwise, connections automatically fall back to IPv4.
IPv6 access outside the Chinese mainland is disabled by default for some domains to ensure optimal performance. Submit a ticket to activate the service.
Procedure
-
Log on to the DCDN console.
-
In the left-side navigation pane, click Domain Names.
On the Domain Names page, find the domain name that you want to manage and click Configure.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Advanced Settings.
Turn on the IPv6 switch.

After you enable IPv6, clients can send IPv6 requests to DCDN nodes. Requests from DCDN nodes to your origin server can then include the client's IPv6 information.
