Yes. Enterprise Distributed Application Service (EDAS) is an application management platform -- it does not include Elastic Compute Service (ECS) compute resources. You must purchase ECS instances separately based on your business requirements.
How EDAS works with ECS
After you purchase ECS instances, EDAS automatically synchronizes them from your Alibaba Cloud account. You can then deploy, manage, and monitor your applications on these instances directly within the EDAS console.
