Search for resources, invoke actions, access menus, and find documents from one search box.
Feature overview
Global search supports the following features:

The global search interface:

Access points
Open the global search page in any of the following ways:

Method 1: In the application sidebar, click the
icon.
NoteIf the sidebar is collapsed, click the
icon in the lower-right corner to open it. -
Method 2: On the Overview page, click the search box.

Keyboard shortcuts
Use keyboard shortcuts to search more efficiently. Available shortcuts are listed in the Search Guide in the lower-left corner of the global search page.
The shortcuts below are for macOS. For Windows shortcuts, refer to the interface.

How to use global search
Find resources
Enter a resource ID or name to find resources such as instances and disks, then navigate to the resource details page.

In the search box, enter a resource ID, name, or IP address. To query multiple resources, separate keywords with commas (,).

Click a resource in the search results, or click More for additional details.
Example: instance details:

On the resource details page, you can:

① View details: Click View Details or press
⏎to open the resource details page. -
② Perform actions: Click Actions or press
⌘+⏎. Use the search box to find more actions. -
③ Export: Click Export to export the resources on the current page.

Invoke actions
Enter an action name in the search box to invoke it on an instance.
For example, enter Connect or Replace System Disk to invoke the related action.

Query documents
Search for ECS user guides or API operations with global search.

To find instructions on running a Docker container on an ECS instance, enter Docker. Click the target document to open it in the Help Center.

To create multiple ECS instances with custom configurations such as hostnames and tags, enter batch create. Click the target API operation to open the RunInstances page, where you can run the API or view its documentation.

Go to menus
Navigate directly to a console page with global search.
Enter a menu keyword such as Instance, Images, or Security Group, then click the target menu to go to that page.

Favorites and history
Click the
icon next to a search result to save it as a favorite. Saved items appear in the Favorite area. Recent searches appear in the History area.

References

If you have attached tags to your ECS resources, you can retrieve them by tag.

If your ECS resources are in a resource group, you can retrieve them by resource group.
