Elastic Compute Service:Modify ESSD AutoPL disk performance

Last Updated:May 15, 2026

Enable or disable provisioned performance and performance burst, or adjust provisioned IOPS to optimize disk performance without changing storage capacity.

Usage notes

Note the following items when you modify the performance configuration of an ESSD AutoPL disk:

  • Modifying the provisioned IOPS of an ESSD AutoPL disk also changes the provisioned performance throughput and total throughput.

For IOPS and throughput calculation formulas, see ESSD AutoPL disk specifications.

  • Performance configuration changes take effect immediately.

  • Consecutive provisioned IOPS adjustments on the same disk must be at least one hour apart.

Billing

After you enable provisioned performance or performance burst, or modify provisioned IOPS, billing is recalculated based on the new performance level. See Elastic Block Storage billing.

For ESSD AutoPL disk pricing, see the Elastic Compute Service product page.

Modify the provisioned performance of an ESSD AutoPL disk

Use the disk upgrade/downgrade feature to enable, disable, or modify the provisioned IOPS of an ESSD AutoPL disk.

  1. Go to ECS console - Block Storage - Disks.

  2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select a region and resource group.地域

  3. Find the target disk. In the Actions column, click the 更多 > Change Configuration.

  4. In the Change Configuration dialog box, Disk Type After Upgrade/Downgrade is set to AutoPL by default. Set the IOPS value.

    Note

Setting IOPS to 0 automatically disables provisioned performance for the disk.

  5. Confirm the configuration fee and click OK.

Enable or disable performance burst for an ESSD AutoPL disk

Performance burst is enabled by default when you create an ESSD AutoPL disk. You can enable or disable it later in the disk properties.

  1. Go to ECS console - Block Storage - Disks.

  2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select a region and resource group.地域

  3. Find the target ESSD AutoPL disk. In the Actions column, click the 更多 > Edit Attributes.

  4. In the Modify Disk Property dialog box, select or clear Enable for Burst.

  5. Click OK.
