You can delete automatic snapshot policies that you no longer need. After you delete an automatic snapshot policy, the policy no longer takes effect on all disks that were associated with the policy, and snapshots are no longer automatically created based on the policy for the disks. This helps avoid continuously creating redundant snapshots, thereby reducing snapshot costs.
Considerations
Deleting an automatic snapshot policy does not affect the existing snapshots that were created by using the automatic snapshot policy.
After an automatic snapshot policy is deleted, automatic snapshots cannot be created for the cloud disks that are associated with the automatic snapshot policy.
Procedure
In the top navigation bar, select the region and resource group of the resource that you want to manage.
On the Automatic Snapshot Policies tab, find the automatic snapshot policy that you want to delete and click Delete Automatic Snapshot Policy in the Actions column.
In the message that appears, click Confirm.
