Burstable instances are an economical instance type that can meet burst performance requirements in entry-level computing scenarios. Burstable instances can use CPU credits to meet burst performance requirements. You can enable the unlimited mode for burstable instances. The minimum memory of burstable instances is 0.5 GiB. This topic describes how to create a burstable instance.
This topic describes the basic configuration items you must pay attention to when you create a burstable instance in the Elastic Compute Service (ECS) console. For more information about other general configuration items, see Create an instance on the Custom Launch tab.
Procedure
Go to the ECS instance buy page.
Configure the parameters described in the following table based on your business requirements.

Billing Method
Different billing and charging rules apply to the instance based on the selected billing method. The status changes of instance resources also vary based on the billing method. Valid values:
Region
Regions are geographical locations where Alibaba Cloud data centers are deployed. Select a region that is close to your geographical location to reduce latency. After an instance is created, the region of the instance cannot be changed. For more information, see Regions and zones.
Network and Zone
We recommend that you specify a virtual private cloud (VPC). VPCs are logically isolated from one another, ensure enhanced security, and support features such as Elastic IP Address (EIP), IPv6, and Elastic Network Interface (ENI).
A zone is a physical area that has an independent network and power supply in a region. Instances deployed in the same zone have minimal latency between each other and provide faster access speeds.
Instance
Click the All Instance Types tab. In the Architecture row, select Shared from the x86 drop-down list. Then, select a burstable instance type. The available instance types vary based on the selected region. You can view the available instance types in each region on the Instance Types Available for Each Region page. You can select Enable Unlimited Mode for Burstable Instances when you create a burstable instance or after the instance is created. For more information, see Enable the unlimited mode.
Image
Images contain information required to run ECS instances. Alibaba Cloud provides a variety of images for purchase. All available images are displayed in the Image section of the instance creation page. For more information, see Select an image.
Configure the storage, bandwidth, security group, and management settings.

In the right pane, check the configuration summary of the instance and specify a subscription duration. Make sure that all parameters meet your business requirements.
Follow the on-screen instructions to read and select service agreements, such as ECS Terms of Service, and click Create Order. If you already signed a service agreement, you do not need to re-sign the agreement.
NoteECS Refund Policies and Procedure is available only for subscription instances.
Creating an instance requires 3 to 5 minutes. You can go to the Instance page in the ECS console to view the instance status. When the instance status changes to Running, the instance is created.
