If you did not configure a public IPv4 address for a cloud phone when you created the cloud phone, you can apply for an elastic IP address (EIP) and bind the EIP to the cloud phone for Internet access. This topic describes how to bind and unbind an EIP.
Background information
An EIP is a public IP address that you can purchase and use as an independent resource. After an EIP is associated with a cloud resource, the cloud resource can use the EIP to communicate with the Internet. For more information, see What is an EIP?
Prerequisites
The cloud phone is in the Running or Stopped state.
An EIP is obtained in the region where the cloud phone resides. For more information, see Apply for an EIP.
Bind an EIP
Log on to the ECP console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Cloud Phones.
In the Actions column of the desired cloud phone, click and choose
.In the Associate EIP dialog box, select an EIP from the EIP drop-down list.
Click OK.
After the EIP is bound to the cloud phone, the EIP is displayed in the IP column of the cloud phone on the Cloud Phones page.
Unbind an EIP
Log on to the ECP console.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Cloud Phones.
In the Actions column of the desired cloud phone, click and choose
.In the Disassociate EIP dialog box, select I am aware of the costs and risks..
ImportantAfter you unbind an EIP from a cloud phone, you are still charged for the EIP. If you do not require the EIP anymore, release the EIP. For more information, see Release a pay-as-you-go EIP.
Click OK.
After the EIP is unbound from the cloud phone, the EIP is no longer displayed in the IP column of the cloud phone on the Cloud Phones page.
