Cloud Phone:Create and manage networks

Last Updated:Jun 22, 2026

A Cloud Phone network is a private network based on Alibaba Cloud Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) that determines instance capacity, internet access, and other network settings. Every Cloud Phone instance must reside in a network.

Network types

Cloud Phone supports the following network types.

  • VPC network: No public IP address is assigned to Cloud Phone instances. Supports public Android Debug Bridge (ADB).

  • shared network (including basic and advanced shared networks): Includes free basic bandwidth with a peak of 5 Mbps per Cloud Phone instance. Suitable for low-bandwidth scenarios. Does not support public Android Debug Bridge (ADB).

The following table compares the basic and advanced subtypes of shared networks.

Supported

Create a VPC network

  1. Log on to the Cloud Phone console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network & Security > Network.

  3. On the Network page, click Create Network.

  4. In the Create Network dialog box, choose one of the following creation methods.

    Automatic creation

The system automatically creates a VPC network. No manual creation in the VPC console is required.

    1. On the New tab, select a region for the network.

    2. (Optional) Select Enable Internet Access.

      Note

If you select this option, the system automatically provisions a NAT Gateway and an Elastic IP Address (EIP) for your network. These resources are billed on a pay-as-you-go basis. For billing rules, see NAT Gateway Billing and Pay-As-You-Go.

    3. Click Create Now.

    Manual creation

You must first create a VPC in the VPC console.

    1. On the Manual Creation tab, select a region for the network.

    2. Enter a network name.

    3. Select an existing VPC instance and click Create Now.

      Note

If no VPC instances are available in the selected region, click Create VPC to go to the VPC console and create one.

Manage internet access for a VPC network

Enable or disable internet access for a VPC network to control connectivity for all Cloud Phone instances in that network.

  1. Log on to the Cloud Phone console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network & Security > Network.

  3. On the Network page, find the target network and perform one of the following operations in the Actions column:

    • If internet access was not enabled when you created the network, click Enable Internet Access. In the confirmation dialog box, click Enable Now.

      Note

If you select this option, the system automatically provisions a NAT Gateway and an Elastic IP Address (EIP) for your network. These resources are billed on a pay-as-you-go basis. For billing rules, see NAT Gateway Billing and Pay-As-You-Go.

    • If internet access is enabled, you can click Disable Internet Access. In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.

After you disable internet access, all Cloud Phone instances in the network lose internet connectivity. The system releases associated resources such as EIPs, the NAT Gateway, and SNAT entries, and stops billing for them.

Enable IPv6 for a VPC network

VPC networks use IPv4 by default. You can also enable IPv6. For instructions, see Enable IPv6 for a VPC.

Create and manage shared networks

Cloud Phone and Elastic Desktop Service (EDS) Enterprise share a common network architecture. Therefore, you must create and manage shared networks in the Elastic Desktop Service (EDS) Enterprise console.

Delete a network

Delete Cloud Phone networks that you no longer need.

  1. Log on to the Cloud Phone console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network & Security > Network.

  3. On the Network page, find the target network and click Delete in the Actions column.

    Note

You can delete a network only if it contains no Cloud Phone, cloud computer, or cloud application instances.
