Cloud Phone provides backup and recovery capabilities. You can create full instance backups or back up specific applications or files. This topic describes how to back up data and restore a Cloud Phone from a backup file.
Backup scope
Cloud Phone supports full instance backups and partial backups of applications and files.
Full instance backup
A full instance backup includes the following data:
Some temporary folders and application cache files are excluded from the backup. If you have important files in these locations, back them up manually.
User-installed applications and their logon status.
Data in folders such as Photos and Downloads.
Desktop display language and other system settings.
Other system properties.
Application backup
You can back up specified application packages.
Create a backup
Log on to the Cloud Phone console.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose Resource Management > Instance.
In the instance list, select the target instance, click More Actions, and then select Data Backup.
NoteYou cannot back up instances created from AI runtime images.
On the Instance Data Backup page, select a backup scope, and then click Next.

Partial application and file backup > Application backup
After you select Application backup, enter the package names of the applications to back up. You can click Add to enter multiple package names.
Run
pm list packages -3to retrieve the names of all third-party application packages. For example, to find the package name for WeChat, copy
com.tencent.mmfrom the returned list of third-party application package names.
Select an Object Storage Service (OSS) bucket name and an OSS bucket file path, and then click Next.
ImportantIf no storage medium is available, go to the OSS console to create a bucket whose name starts with the prefix "cloudphone-saved-bucket-". Then, create a folder in the bucket to use as the backup folder.
If the selected OSS bucket is in a different region than the Cloud Phone, make sure that public network access is enabled for the OSS bucket. This will incur data transfer costs.
(Optional) Enter a description for the backup file to help identify it later.
Click Start Backup, and then click OK.
Backup and restore
Log on to the Cloud Phone console.
In the navigation pane on the left, choose Resource Management > Instance.
In the Instance list, select the target instance, click More Actions, and then select Data Restoration.
On the Instance Data Restoration page, select a data file source. The following sources are supported:
Use a Cloud Phone instance backup file
A Cloud Phone instance backup file is created from this Cloud Phone or another Cloud Phone instance. You can select one of the following two types of backup files:
Full instance backup
Partial application
Use a custom backup file path
A custom backup file is created from a Cloud Phone in another region. The backup file is synchronized to an OSS bucket in the same region as the current Cloud Phone.
Select Full Restoration and then select a full instance backup file. Otherwise, select the applications or files to restore.
NoteYou cannot back up data from a Cloud Phone Matrix Edition instance and restore it to an Instance Edition instance, or vice versa.
