Cloud Phone shared networks include a free basic bandwidth with a peak value of 5 Mbps. If you have higher network bandwidth requirements, you can create and use a premium bandwidth plan for higher throughput, dedicated bandwidth, and an exclusive IP address.
Basic bandwidth vs. premium bandwidth
Cloud Phone networks include two bandwidth types: basic bandwidth and premium bandwidth.
| Feature | Basic bandwidth | Premium bandwidth |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | Free (included with shared networks) | Paid |
| Peak bandwidth | 5 Mbps | Customizable |
| IP address | - | Exclusive |
| Billing options | N/A | Subscription, Pay-as-you-go (Pay-by-data-transfer or Pay-by-bandwidth) |
| Use case | Low-traffic workloads with no high-speed requirements | Business workloads that require stable network bandwidth |
Cloud Phone instances cannot access the Internet through your on-premises device's network. If the network type is shared network, it comes with free basic bandwidth.
Create a premium bandwidth plan
Log on to the Cloud Phone console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network & Security > Premium Bandwidth Plan.
On the Premium Bandwidth Plan page, click Purchase Premium Bandwidth Plan.
On the Cloud Phone - Purchase Premium Bandwidth Plan page, configure the following parameters.
ImportantThe peak bandwidth value is not a guaranteed service level. It serves as a reference value and an upper limit. During resource contention, actual bandwidth may not reach the peak value.
NoteFor Pay-by-data-transfer billing: - Inbound traffic is downstream traffic from the Internet to Cloud Phone instances (for example, downloading files or playing web videos). - Outbound traffic is upstream traffic from Cloud Phone instances to the Internet (for example, uploading files to third-party services).
NoteFor Pay-by-bandwidth billing, delete the premium bandwidth plan promptly when you no longer need it to avoid unnecessary charges.
Parameter Description Available Region The region of the plan. Select the same region as the office network to associate. Payment Method Subscription: Pay before use. Recommended for stable bandwidth with predictable usage. Pay-as-you-go: Pay after use. Duration Subscription only. Options: 1 Week, 1 Month, 2 Months, 3 Months, 6 Months, 1 Year, 2 Years, or 3 Years. The 1 Week duration supports manual renewal only. For all other durations, auto-renewal is available, and the renewal duration matches the subscription duration (for example, a 2-month subscription auto-renews for another 2 months). Enable Auto-renewal Subscription only. Not available when Duration is set to 1 Week. Billing Method Pay-as-you-go only. Pay-by-data-transfer: Billed based on accumulated inbound traffic to Cloud Phone instances. Outbound traffic is not billed. Recommended for low average traffic with occasional peaks. Pay-by-bandwidth: Billed hourly based on the peak bandwidth value, regardless of actual usage. Recommended for stable bandwidth with variable usage frequency. Peak Bandwidth The maximum bandwidth value for the plan. Associate Office Network The office network to associate with the plan. Select a network from the drop-down list. Read the service agreements, then click Buy Now.
(Subscription only) On the Purchase page, confirm the configuration and amount, click Subscribe, and complete the payment.
After the purchase is complete, the new plan appears on the Premium Bandwidth Plan page.

Associate or dissociate an office network
When a premium bandwidth plan is associated with an office network, Cloud Phone instances in that network use premium bandwidth to access the Internet. After dissociation, the network automatically reverts to basic bandwidth.
A premium bandwidth plan can be associated with only one office network at a time. To switch from network A to network B, dissociate the plan from network A first, then associate it with network B.
Associate an office network
When you create a premium bandwidth plan, you select an office network to associate by default. After the plan is created, it is automatically associated with the selected network.
If the plan status is Not Associated, associate an office network to start using the plan.
On the Premium Bandwidth Plan page, find the target plan.
In the Actions column, click Associate Office Network.
In the Associate Office Network dialog box, select a network from the drop-down list.
Click OK.
When the plan status changes from Changing to In Use, the association is complete.
Dissociate an office network
Dissociating an office network has the following impacts:
The network's public bandwidth reverts from premium bandwidth to basic bandwidth. Public access control settings remain unchanged.
You can associate the premium bandwidth plan with other office networks that are not associated with a premium bandwidth plan.
All configured Internet speed limit rules are automatically purged.
Dissociation does not stop billing. To stop billing, delete the premium bandwidth plan.
On the Premium Bandwidth Plan page, find the target plan.
In the Actions column, click Dissociate Office Network.
In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.
Renew a subscription plan
Subscription premium bandwidth plans have an expiration date. Renew the plan before it expires to avoid service disruption.
Auto-renewal can be enabled during plan creation, or the plan can be renewed manually at any time.
On the Premium Bandwidth Plan page, find the target plan.
In the Actions column, click Renew.
On the Cloud Phone - Renew Premium Bandwidth Plan page, select the renewal duration. Supported durations: 1 week, 1 month, 2 months, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, 2 years, and 3 years.

Unsubscribe from a subscription plan
Only subscription premium bandwidth plans support unsubscription.
Billing stops after the plan is successfully unsubscribed.
Before you unsubscribe, disassociate the office network and associate it with another premium bandwidth plan to prevent Cloud Phone instances from losing Internet access.
After unsubscription, Cloud Phone instances in the previously associated office network can no longer access the Internet through this plan.
On the Premium Bandwidth Plan page, find the target plan.
In the Actions column, click the more actions icon (⋮), and then select Unsubscribe.
On the Unsubscriptions page, on the Unsubscribe from In-use Resources tab, select the commodity and type to unsubscribe.
