After creating an app, you can install it on specific instances or instance groups. This topic describes how to create an app and manage it by installing, uninstalling, and controlling its running status.
Create an app
Log on to the Cloud Phone console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
On the Application page, click Create App.
In the Create Application panel, configure the following parameters.

The application name. The name can be up to 32 characters long and must start with a letter or a Chinese character. The name cannot start with

Select the region for the app. An app can be installed only on instances located in the same region.

A brief description of the app's purpose and features.

Click Upload Local File to select and upload an icon for the app.
NoteSupported image formats are .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .gif, .webp, .bmp, and .wbmp. The image size cannot exceed 1 MB.

Click Upload Local File and select a file that meets the requirements.
ImportantUse only app installation packages obtained from official app stores or trusted third-party sources.
NoteOnly .apk files are supported. The file size cannot exceed 5 GB.
Install an app
You can install an app from the console onto specific instances or instance groups.
Log on to the Cloud Phone console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
On the Application page, from the region drop-down list at the top of the app list, select the region where the target instance or instance group is located.
Find the target app and click Install Application in the Actions column.
In the Install Application panel, perform one of the following operations, and then click Start Installing.
To install the app on specific instances: In the Select Object section, select Instance, and then select one or more instances from the list.
NoteIn a batch operation, you can select up to 1,000 instances for Instance Edition.
To install the app on all instances within specific instance groups: In the Select Object section, select Instance Group, and then select one or more instance groups from the list.
In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.
Uninstall an app
If you no longer need an app on an instance, you can uninstall it.
Log on to the Cloud Phone console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
On the Application page, from the region drop-down list at the top of the app list, select the region where the target instance or instance group is located.
Find the target app and click Uninstall Application in the Actions column.
In the Uninstall panel, perform one of the following operations and then click Start Uninstall.
To uninstall the app from specific instances: In the Select Object section, select Instance, and then select one or more instances from the list.
To uninstall the app from all instances within specific instance groups: In the Select Object section, select Instance Group, and then select one or more instance groups from the list.
In the confirmation dialog box, click OK.
Control app running status
You can start, restart, and stop an installed app.
Log on to the Cloud Phone console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
On the Application page, find the target app, click the ⋮ icon in the Actions column, and select Start Application, Restart Application, or Stop Application.
In the panel that appears, select one or more instances from the list and click OK.
NoteThe operation fails for any selected instance on which the app is not installed.
Delete an app
You can delete an app if you no longer need it. After an app is deleted, it cannot be installed on instances or instance groups.
Log on to the Cloud Phone console.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose .
On the Application page, find the target app, click Delete in the Actions column, and then click OK in the confirmation dialog box.
NoteDeleting an app does not affect existing installations on your instances. To remove an app from an instance, you must uninstall it. For more information, see Uninstall an app.
