Elastic High Performance Computing:Stop a job

If a job in an Elastic High Performance Computing (E-HPC) cluster fails to run or is no longer required, you can stop the job. This topic describes how to stop a job in an E-HPC cluster in the E-HPC console.

Prerequisites

A job is in one of the incomplete status.

The following table describes the incomplete status of the Slurm and PBS schedulers.

Scheduler

Incomplete status

Slurm

  • Pending

  • Running

PBS

  • QUEUED

  • RUNNING

Procedure

  1. Go to the Cluster Details page.

    1. Log on to the E-HPC console.

    2. In the left part of the top navigation bar, select a region.

    3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Cluster.

    4. On the Cluster List page, find the cluster that you want to manage and click the cluster ID.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Job Management.

  3. On the Job Management page, select one or more jobs that you want to stop and click Stop in the lower part of the page.

  4. In the message that appears, click OK.
