Add a logon node to or remove it from an E-HPC cluster - Elastic High Performance Computing

This topic describes how to install and uninstall an addon for an Elastic High Performance Computing (E-HPC) cluster in the E-HPC console.

Prerequisites

The cluster is in the Running state.
A cluster may be of one of the following types:
- Public cloud standard cluster
- Public cloud managed cluster

Go to the Cluster Details page.
1. Log on to the E-HPC console.
2. In the left part of the top navigation bar, select a region.
3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Cluster.
4. On the Cluster List page, find the cluster that you want to manage and click the cluster ID.
On the Cluster Details page, click the Custom Services tab.
Click Add Addon in the upper-left corner.
In the Service Component Add dialog box, select an addon from the Select Service Components drop-down list.
Note
Currently, only the Login addon is supported. By default, Login is configured for both standard and managed clusters on the public cloud to facilitate connection to clusters over the Internet.
Click Confirm.
On the Custom Services tab, click the icon to refresh the page. If the added addon is in the Running state, the addon is installed.

Important

A deleted logon node cannot be recovered. Exercise caution when you delete a logon node.

Go to the Cluster Details page.
1. Log on to the E-HPC console.
2. In the left part of the top navigation bar, select a region.
3. In the left-side navigation pane, click Cluster.
4. On the Cluster List page, find the cluster that you want to manage and click the cluster ID.
On the Cluster Details page, click the Custom Services tab.
Find the addon that you want to uninstall and click Delete in the upper-right corner.
In the message that appears, click OK.
On the Custom Services tab, click the icon to refresh the page. If the addon is not displayed, the addon is uninstalled.
