Elastic High Performance Computing (E-HPC) is free of charge. However, you must pay for the resources that are used in your E-HPC cluster. This topic describes the billable items and billing methods of the resources.
Note
Clusters created in the new version E-HPC no longer charge service fees. You need to pay only for resources that are used in the clusters, such as Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instances, Apsara File Storage NAS file systems, and Elastic IP Addresses (EIPs).
Billing of resources in E-HPC clusters
You are charged for using resources of other cloud services, such as ECS, Apsara File Storage NAS, and EIP. The following table describes their billing rules:
Cloud service | Description | Pricing | References |
ECS | E-HPC clusters use ECS instances as nodes. When you create a cluster, an ECS instance that meets your requirements is automatically purchased for the cluster.
NAS | E-HPC clusters use NAS file systems as the shared storage of their nodes. Before you create a cluster, you must purchase a NAS file system.
EIP | Elastic IP addresses are used for access over the Internet. When you create a cluster, the system automatically creates an EIP and binds the EIP to the logon node (standard deployment) of the cluster. You are billed for the EIP based on the traffic that is generated. The EIP uses a bandwidth of 100 Mbit/s. |
