    Elastic High Performance Computing:Update ehpcutil

    If the early version of your Elastic High Performance Computing (E-HPC) cluster client (ehpcutil) cannot meet your business requirements, you can update ehpcutil to the latest version. After you update ehpcutil, you can also roll back ehpcutil to an early version.

    Important

    We recommend that you update ehpcutil during off-peak hours and make sure that no scale-in is in progress.

    Procedure

    1. Log on to the E-HPC console.

    2. In the top navigation bar, select a region.

    3. In the left navigation pane, click Cluster.

    4. On the Cluster page, find the target cluster and click Details.

    5. In the Client Version Information section at the bottom of the Cluster Details page, you can update or roll back ehpcutil.

      • If the current ehpcutil version is older than the latest version, click Client Update.

        After the update completes, you can verify the new version in the Client Version Information section. Alternatively, log on to the cluster and run the ls -l /usr/local/ehpc command to check the ehpcutil version.

        Note

        Updating ehpcutil requires about 5 minutes. The duration varies based on the number of nodes that are deployed in your cluster.

      • To roll back ehpcutil to an early version, click View Update History. In the panel that appears, find the corresponding update record and click Roll back to X.X.X.
