The E-HPC client includes a built-in terminal and VNC. You can use the terminal to remotely log in to a cluster and run commands, or use VNC to remotely access a graphical user desktop.
Prerequisites
If you use VNC, ensure that your cluster meets the following conditions:

The VNC service is installed on the cluster. For details, see Install software.

The security group associated with the cluster allows traffic on required ports, such as 12017. For details, see Add a security group rule.
Port 12017 is the default for VNC. Each user requires a dedicated port for remote login. If multiple users need to use VNC concurrently, you must open ports sequentially starting from 12017. For example, if three users need VNC access, you must open ports 12017, 12018, and 12019.
Procedure

Log in to the E-HPC client.

In the left-side navigation pane, choose session management.

Choose to log in by using the terminal or VNC.

Click terminal to open a terminal window.
After you log in, the terminal window displays a welcome message and the command prompt
[testuser1@manager ~]$, indicating that you have connected to the manager node through session management. -
Click VNC to open the graphical interface.
You will see the ANSYS Fluent parallel computing interface. The title bar shows
mixing-tee-solved Parallel Fluent@manager [3d, pbns, sstkw, 24-processes]. The Outline View on the left shows the Setup tree. On the General page in the center, Solver Type is set to Pressure-Based and Velocity Formulation is set to Absolute. On the right, the outlet-monitor-rplot chart shows the Uniformity Index stabilizing. Below this, the application center page of the E-HPC client displays icons for five available applications: fluent, abaqus, hpl, iperf, and fio.
Note-
You are automatically logged in to the cluster as the current E-HPC client user.

The page displays your session connection records. You can use these records to reconnect to a session or delete a record.
