Job templates let you save job configurations and reuse them when submitting jobs, so you don't have to re-enter parameters each time. This topic covers how to create, use, modify, and delete a job template in the E-HPC console.
Each region supports a maximum of 20 job templates. Job template names must be unique.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
Logged on to the E-HPC console
An E-HPC cluster in the target region
Create a job template
In the top navigation bar, select a region.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Job and Performance Management > Job.
On the Job page, select a cluster from the Cluster drop-down list.
Click the Submit Job tab.
Set the job parameters. For parameter descriptions, see Use the E-HPC console to submit a job.
Click the
icon to save the settings as a template.
Use a job template
When you select a job template, the Submit Job tab is pre-filled with the saved parameters. Review the values and submit the job without re-entering them.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Job and Performance Management > Job.
On the Job page, select a cluster from the Cluster drop-down list.
Click the Submit Job tab.
Select a template from the Job Template drop-down list.
Click Submit Job.
Modify a job template
To update a template, load it, change the parameters, and save it as a new version using the Save As New Template icon.
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Job and Performance Management > Job.
On the Job page, select a cluster from the Cluster drop-down list.
Click the Submit Job tab.
Select a template from the Job Template drop-down list.
Adjust the job parameters as needed. For parameter descriptions, see Use the E-HPC console to submit a job.
Click the
icon to save the changes.
Delete a job template
In the left-side navigation pane, choose Job and Performance Management > Job.
On the Job page, select a cluster from the Cluster drop-down list.
Click the Submit Job tab.
Select the template you want to delete from the Job Template drop-down list.
Click the
icon to delete the template.
